“Water Audit California has filed a second lawsuit against Napa County, this time over the county’s approval of the planned Inn at the Abbey boutique hotel near St. Helena.
The public benefit corporation filed the Inn at the Abbey lawsuit in Napa County Superior Court on July 27. The suit has similar features to the group’s pending 2025 litigation against county approval of Bonny’s Vineyard winery.
Once again, Water Audit California alleged the county didn’t fulfill its public trust obligations with regards to a waterway. In this case, it alleged the county failed to require well tests to determine whether groundwater pumping is affecting water in the nearby Napa River.” [Read More]
